PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of detecting an approaching object on the basis of an image of any other spread than spread suitable for driving of backward traveling while suppressing to a minimum or avoiding a change of hardware configuration.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 24 includes a single processing circuit 27 which receives an imaging signal identifying an original image of the outside of a car captured by an imaging device 22 mounted on the car, applies coordinate transformation to an image within a first range of the original image to generate a display image to be displayed on a screen of a display panel 15 on the basis of the image in the first range, applies coordinate transformation to the original image of an image in a second range to generate a non-display image to be used for image recognition on the basis of the image in the second range, and forms one frame from the display image and the non-display image. |
