Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method for recovering a clock and data from a digital input signal and an apparatus thereof. The apparatus for recovering the clock and the data from the digital input signal according to an embodiment of the present invention may include: a clock recovery part which recovers a clock having a frequency of M times a frequency of the digital input signal, using a division ratio M varying according to a transmission rate of the digital input signal; and a data recovery part which recovers data from the digital input signal by dividing a recovery clock received from the clock recovery part into 1/M. According to the embodiments of the present invention, even though a digital input signal having any transmission rate lower than a maximum recoverable clock frequency is received, a clock and data can be recovered from the same. |
