The present invention relates to a phenoxyacrylic derivative and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the same as an active ingredient for preventing or treating a nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. The compound according to the present invention has an excellent inhibitory effect on the activation of SREBP-1c and the expression of FAS, thereby being expected to be advantageously used as an active ingredient of a pharmaceutical composition or a functional food composition for preventing, alleviating or treating a nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
