Disclosed is an isolated antibody, or a functional fragment thereof, which on tumours i) specifically binds to the ligand independent activated form of cMet and ii) does not bind to the non-activated and/or ligand dependent activated form of cMet, comprising: - a light chain comprising the following three CDRs as defined according to IMGT, respectively CDR-L1 having the sequence SEQ ID No. 1 (KSLLHSNGITY), CDR-L2 having the sequence SEQ ID No. 2 (QMS) and CDR-L3 having the sequence SEQ ID No. 3 (AQNLELPYT); and - a heavy chain comprising the following three CDRs as defined according to IMGT, respectively CDR-H1 having the sequence SEQ ID No. 4 (GFTFSSYA), CDR-H2 having the sequence SEQ ID No. 5 (IMGGGTT) and CDR-H3 having the sequence SEQ ID No. 6 (ARGRDYGIRSYAMDY).
