<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image pickup device which can inhibit the occurrence of shading in one embodiment, for example.SOLUTION: According to one embodiment, in a solid state image pickup device, a first inclined angle and a second inclined angel are determined such that filter property of a dichroic filter in a first pixel Pgb1 and filter property of a dichroic filter DF in a second pixel Pgb2 become equivalent to each other. The first inclined angle is an inclined angle of a light incident surface DFa of the dichroic filter in the first pixel of a plurality of pixels against a normal line of a surface SBa of a semiconductor substrate SB. The second inclined angle is an inclined angle of a light incident surface of the dichroic filter in the second pixel of the plurality of pixels against a normal line of the surface of the semiconductor substrate.
