PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when a black matrix is formed into thinner lines to increase an opening rate, color mixing may occur in which colors in adjoining pixels are mixed in an oblique observation in a monochromatic display mode.SOLUTION: A display device includes a display panel and a light source. The display panel includes an array substrate, a counter substrate, and a liquid crystal layer. The counter substrate includes a first light-shielding layer and a color layer. The array substrate includes a second light-shielding layer and a signal wiring layer. The first light-shielding layer, the second light-shielding layer, and the signal wiring layer are disposed between sub-pixels of different colors. The second light-shielding layer is disposed closer to the liquid crystal layer. A gap between an upper face of the first light shielding layer and an upper face of the second light-shielding layer is decreased. |
