<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device capable of protecting a recording head by interlocking it with a conveyance operation of a continued recording medium.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording device includes: an ink jet recording head 10 for recording an image on continuous paper 5; a paper feeding device including a conveyance roll 23 for conveying the continuous paper 5 in a normal rotation direction and a reverse rotation direction so as to pass through the ink jet recording head 10; and a sheet guide 40 for protecting the ink jet recording head 10 from being damaged by the continuous paper 5 colliding with the ink jet recording head 10 at the conveyance start time of the continuous paper 5. The sheet guide 40 enables protection of the ink jet recording head 10 by: transmitting a rotational drive force of the conveyance roll 23 for conveying the continuous paper 5 in the reverse rotation direction to the sheet guide 40 via a drive gear 24 and a driven gear 26, a one-way clutch 25 built in the driven gear 26 and a link member 44; and by moving the sheet guide 40 from a retreat position to a protection position.</p> |
