<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high hardness stainless steel having hardness after hardening and tempering treatment of HRC58 or more which is almost equal to SUS440C which is a martensitic stainless steel, excellent in abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance and having excellent machinability.SOLUTION: There is provided a stainless steel containing sulfide having a composition containing, by mass%, C:0.40 to 1.10%, Si:0.60% or less, Mn:0.80% or less, S:0.050 to 0.200%, Cr:9.00 to 17.00% and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and satisfying mass ratio of Mn and S of 0.38≤Mn/S≤1.13 (Formula 1), and further containing sulfide having size of 1.0μmor more and carbide having size of 10μmor more and the number of the sulfide and the number of carbide satisfying (the number of sulfide)≥(the number of carbide)×2.4 (Formula 2).</p> |
