PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error correction coding device capable of increasing service life of a flash memory.SOLUTION: The error correction coding device includes: a flash memory 2 which has a memory block including plural memory cells; an error correction coding section 3 that performs an error correction coding processing by adding a redundancy bit to a data to be written on the flash memory 2; and a memory cell bit management section 6 that measures worn level of a memory of a memory block, and when the worn level of the memory exceeds a preset first threshold value, continues to use the memory cell as a multilevel cell and reduces the bit number to be stored per memory cell in the memory block from K to M (K>M, K and M are positive integers greater than 2). |
