<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibrator capable of improving vibration characteristics.SOLUTION: A crystal vibrator 1 comprises: vibration portion 13 vibrating; a crystal vibration piece 10 having a peripheral portion 14 having a thickness dimension less than that of the vibration portion 13; and a package 20 accommodated with the crystal vibration piece 10. When a vibration direction of vibration is defined as an X-axis direction and a direction intersecting with the X-axis direction is defined as a Z'-axis direction, the crystal vibration piece 10 has protruded portions 15 protruding in a thickness direction of the peripheral portion 14 from at least one of a first region 14a and a second region 14b of the peripheral portion 14 provided so as to interpose the vibration portion 13 therebetween in the X-axis direction and extending in the Z'-axis direction. The package 20 has a supporting portion 22b protruding toward a protruded portions 15 side at a position where the supporting portion 22b faces one protruded portions 15 on an inner bottom surface 22a. In the crystal vibration piece 10, one protruded portions 15 is supported by the supporting portion 22b, and a fixed portion 18 adjoining the protruded portions 15 supported is fixed to an inner bottom surface 22a side of the package 20.</p> |
