<p> Provided are a catheter and a catheter hub capable of inhibiting excessive insertion of a male Luer taper formed on an instrument to be connected. A catheter (10) having a shaft (20) for insertion into an organism, and a catheter hub (30) provided to the proximal end of the shaft (20) and provided with a hub internal cavity (34) in communication with the internal cavity of the shaft (20) and a proximal end opening part (35) that opens at the proximal end of the hub internal cavity (34), wherein the catheter hub (30) is provided with a first taper part (38) in which the inside diameter decreases from the proximal end opening part (35) toward the distal end direction, a second taper part (39) in which the inside diameter decreases at a greater rate than does the first taper part (38) from the distal end side toward the distal end direction than does the first taper part (38), and a stop part (40) provided between the first taper part (38) and the second taper part (39) and being capable of stopping the distal end of an instrument having a male Luer taper formed at the distal end.</p> |
