<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand the upper limit of a cross-sectional area of a material that can be used as a rolling material in a bar rolling device for heating the material by a heating furnace 1, hot-rolling the material by a rolling machine train 2, and manufacturing bar metal.SOLUTION: Provided is a bar rolling device comprising a rolling mill (counter rolling mill 3) provided on an opposite side of a heating surface 1 (rolling train opposite side 32) to a rolling mill train 2, hot-rolling a heated material by the counter rolling mill 3, and then capable of hot-rolling the material by the rolling mill train 2. The heating furnace 1 heats the material having a cross-sectional area larger than a maximum cross-sectional area that can be rolled by the rolling mill train 2, the counter rolling mill 3 rolls the material to make the cross-sectional area of the rolled material equal to or smaller than the maximum cross-sectional area for the rolling mill train 2, and then the rolling mill train 2 rolls the material. As a result, it is possible to expand the upper limit of the cross-sectional area of the material that can be used as a rolling material without installing a new rolling mill between a heating furnace extraction end and the existing rolling mill train 2.</p> |
