<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring apparatus that, in time of an earthquake, alters indications on a display unit of frequently communicated status changes regarding fullness or level drops in water tank facilities installed on buildings.SOLUTION: A remote monitoring apparatus equipped with a detecting device 14 for earthquakes in the same area causes a monitoring center C1 to judge that, when the number of communicated status changes of water tank facilities E11 in one of multiple geographical areas into which division is made in advance reaches a prescribed ratio to the total number of water tanks facilities E11 in the pertinent area, an earthquake has occurred in the area and, at the same time, issues an instruction to extend the time intervals of displaying status changes of the water tank facilities E11 in the area on a display device 16 to a second interval length greater than a first interval length.</p> |
