METHOD FOR BRAZING ROTOR WINDINGS

The present disclosure relates to a method for manufacturing the windings of rotating electrical plant. The joining of the copper coils for a generator rotor is known to be accomplished by a brazing process, wherein each turn to be joined, located at the coil end portions, are heated to the brazing temperature after the brazing material is carefully positioned in the joint area. Conventional method generally requires a long time to be carried out, which results in high production costs. The object of the present invention is to provide a method for joining of conductors on rotating electrical machines which is fast and reduces to a minimum possible negative effects impacting on adjacent portions. According to preferred embodiments, this object is realised by means of a brazing element which is positioned over the coil stack to be joined.
