PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system that can suppress delay in the communication between an image forming apparatus and a server.SOLUTION: When a relay device 100 relaying the communication between an MFP 300 and a server 500 receives a request to the server 500 from the MFP 300 (S1), reads out a previous response to the request from the server 500 cached in memory (S2). The relay device 100 then transmits the response read out from the memory to the MFP 300 as a temporary response before transmitting the request to the server 500 and obtaining a response (S3).
