<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone which effectively utilizes cartilage conduction.SOLUTION: Cartilage conduction parts in both corners of an upper part of the mobile phone and a coupling part therebetween are integrally formed from an elastic body having acoustic impedance approximate to ear cartilages, and they are supported by an upper side part of a mobile phone casing having acoustic impedance different therefrom. A cartilage conduction vibration source employing a piezoelectric bimorph element or an electromagnetic vibrator is supported by the coupling part without contact with the upper side part of the casing. The coupling part is adhered to the upper side part of the casing, the coupling part is exposed from an opening in the upper side part of the casing into the casing, and the cartilage conduction vibration source is fully affixed or partially supported, such that the cartilage conduction vibration source is disposed inside of a surface of the upper side part of the casing. Otherwise, the cartilage conduction vibration source is embedded within the coupling part. The coupling part is supported inside of the upper side part of the casing and is coupled to the cartilage conduction parts through openings provided in both the corners. Top faces, front faces and side faces of upper corners are covered by the cartilage conduction parts. A front face of the upper side part of the casing is covered by the coupling part.</p> |
