An apparatus 10 for assisting a player 12 playing golf comprises a first connector for connecting a portion 16 of the apparatus to a golf club 18. The apparatus further comprises a first processor which processes a signal received from a first inclinometer. An output device for outputting an output signal from the first processor is included and provides an indication of the static attitude of the club. The apparatus may further comprise a second inclinometer connected adjacent a users spine by a second connector which may be a belt 46. A data connector 50 may send measurements taken by the second inclinometer to the first processor which may output a signal containing information on a static attitude of the players spine. A second processor may be included to wirelessly transfer data from the second inclinometer to the first processor. The output device may comprise a display for displaying a visual representation of the static attitude. This may be given as a numerical number of an angle measured by one of the inclinometers. At least one of the inclinometers may comprise an accelerometer. |
