<p>A test system 6 sends commands to a system under test 2 and receives images from the graphical user interface 4 of the system under test. The test system executes a test description, which contains the commands and reference images. When the description is executed, the reference images are compared with the images displayed by the system under test to determine whether the test has passed or failed. The reference images are associated with metadata. The metadata may give information about when or where the image appears on the display. When the application or operating environment is updated in a manner, which changes the images displayed, the test is run in a retrain mode. In this mode, the metadata in the test is used to identify new reference images. The description is then updated with the new images.</p> |
