<p>The invention relates to a wall element (30, 30'), which has rectangular and/or square main surfaces (1) and which is made of a plate-like flat material, for the wall of stable shells or container shells (40) for various goods, which stable shells or container shells have a parallelepiped shape and in particular can form surrounding walls of raised beds, wherein at least one further respective similarly designed wall element (30') can be connected laterally to two of the sides of the wall element that are opposite each other in order to form a common edge (45) of the stable shell, wherein along the two said sides of the main surface (1) a respective edge stabilization strip (11, 11') is bent by an angle Ca corresponding to half the interior edge angle (a) of the stable shell, wherein furthermore the wall element, which is preferably made of a metal-to-plastic composite material, has, in addition to the edge stabilization strips, connecting strips (12, 12') along the two other sides opposite each other, which connecting strips are bent from the main surface (1) of the wall element by an angle of 90° in the same direction, and wherein the two edge stabilization strips (11, 11') are shortened by a small amount (b) at both ends.
