PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select the kind of optimal scent applied to a product.SOLUTION: A method for selecting the kind of optimal scent includes procedures to select plural phrases for sensitivity relative to a body fluid absorbent article, to measure and process a first standard brain wave when individually recalling each of the phrases for sensitivity, to respectively measure and process scent brain waves when smelling plural scents, to measure and process a second standard wave when recalling the most favorable scent to be applied to the body fluid absorbent article, to acquire a first sensitivity output that can be acquired when the processed first standard brain wave and the scent brain wave are compared with each other for each sensitivity phrase, to acquire a second sensitivity output that can be acquired when the processed second standard brain wave and the scent brain wave are compared with each other, to determine a major element of a favorable scent required for the body fluid absorbent article among the plural phrases for sensitivity based on the correlation between the second sensitivity output and the first sensitivity output for each sensitivity phrase, and to select a favorable scent from the plural scents using the first sensitivity output, as an index, in the major element of the phrases for sensitivity. |
