PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user of a printer to clearly confirm the color reproducibility of the printer.SOLUTION: The printer includes: a color chart print data generating means for color check (color reproducibility check); a color measurement result storage means for storing measurement data on the color patch of a printed color chart based on output from a color measurement device; a reference table storage means for storing reference data as a reference for comparison with a color chart; a comparison information generating means for generating comparison information enabling a comparison of the measurement data of each color patch of the color chart with the reference data; and a comparison information print data generating means for generating comparison information print data for printing the comparison information near the area for each color patch of the color chart. A color chart is printed on a media in a color check mode, and the comparison information is printed near the color patch of the color chart. |
