PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for repairing a casting mold, by which the mold for continuously casting slab, billet or boom in an iron mill is repaired into an original state or a state close to the original state.SOLUTION: Overlay welding is performed by thermally spraying a metal powder 24 formed from copper or a copper alloy at a low temperature lower than the melting point of the metal powder 24 onto a surface of a mold 23 made of copper (or a copper alloy) used in continuous casting by using an inert gas as a carrier gas. Thereafter, heat treatment of the resulting sprayed coating or the whole mold 23 including the sprayed coating is carried out. |
