<p>A problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a battery module (9) with which a plurality of battery cells (5) is rigidly retained, and a battery pack (1) using the battery module, with which shape stability is superior, and it is possible to achieve miniaturization and light weight. This battery module (9) which solves the problem has a configuration of an array of a plurality of battery units (6), each such battery unit (6) having a battery cell (5) sandwiched with two cell holders (7), and said array of battery units (6) being sandwiched with a base plate (11), a center plate (10), side plates (12), and securing members (16, 17). The battery pack has a configuration in which a battery block (2), wherein a plurality of the battery modules (9) are arranged with section plates (19, 19, ...) interposed therebetween and sandwiched with two end plates (20, 20), and in which the section plates (19) and the end plates (20) are anchored with bands (21), is retained by anchoring the section plates (19) and the end plates (20) in an upper case (4) and a lower case (3).</p> |
