<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of improving fuel economy by improving cooling efficiency while suppressing the cooling capacity of an EGR cooler. <P>SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine includes an intake throttle valve provided upstream of a compressor of a turbocharger in an intake passage; an exhaust gas recirculation passage for recirculating a part of exhaust gas downstream of a catalyst in an exhaust passage, upstream of the compressor and downstream of the intake throttle valve; and an exhaust gas cooler provided between an inlet and an outlet of the exhaust gas recirculation passage. The exhaust gas recirculation passage at a portion from the exhaust gas cooler to the outlet is formed near an auxiliary machine driving belt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
