摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect conditions of stirring and to reliably perform proper stirring in a steaming apparatus for heating soup and foodstuffs for steaming housed in a treatment tank with saturated steam. <P>SOLUTION: The steaming apparatus houses boiled foodstuffs made of solid foodstuffs and fluid soup in the treatment tank 1 and heats the foodstuffs 5 by introducing the saturated steam in the treatment tank 1. In the steaming apparatus, during the steaming process in which foodstuffs are cooked by maintaining a prescribed steaming temperature in the treatment tank, pressure in the treatment tank is temporarily made lower than saturated steam pressure at a steaming temperature to perform stirring under reduced pressure in which the inside of the foodstuffs is boiled to stir the foodstuffs. The steaming apparatus is provided with a foodstuff temperature sensor 14 for detecting foodstuff temperature in the treatment tank 1.
