<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save costs by reducing costly equipment, such as locking devices, and to alleviate the burden of parking fee collection on the management by facilitating on-the-spot payment of parking fees by users. <P>SOLUTION: In a parking lot managing system 1 equipped with neither locking devices nor gate mechanisms and monitoring parked vehicles with a loop coil 8 installed in each parking partition 6 and cameras 16 installed in a parking lot 2, it is made possible for the parking fee to be paid during a limited length of time even after the pertinent vehicle leaves the parking partition 6 (post-exit payment) though the regular practice is to pay the parking fee before the parked vehicle leaves the parking partition 6 (pre-exit payment). If a parked vehicle leaves the parking partition 6 without pre-exit payment, parking information on that parked vehicle is deleted, temporary unpaid-for exit information is generated and, if post-exit payment is made subsequently, the parking fee is calculated among other procedures on the basis of the temporary unpaid-for exit information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
