A folding wing (300) comprises a fixed section, a folding section, and a latch system (320) for latching the folding section to the fixed section. The latch system includes a plurality of latch pins (322), and a corresponding plurality of non-backdriveable mechanical actuators (324) for extending the latch pins (322) to engage the folding section.
