The present invention relates to a hand dryer (1) including: (i) a means (3) for producing an airflow; and (ii) a drying area (4) including an opening (6) through which the hands of the user are to pass, and which is provided with at least one slot-shaped nozzle (15) for expelling at least one air stream (L) capable of removing the water on said hands, said passage opening (6) of the drying area (4) being defined by an annular inner surface (10) comprising two longitudinal portions (11), i.e. an upper portion (11a) and a lower portion (11b), which are connected by two side portions (12). The slot-shaped nozzle(s) (15) are provided over the entire length, or at least approximately over the entire length, of the two longitudinal portions (11) of the annular inner surface (10); and the nozzle(s) (15) are arranged such that the longitudinal air streams are oriented towards one another and towards the rear relative to the passage opening (6), opposite the user. |
