<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine that allows an upper end position of a cylinder head cover to be lowered. <P>SOLUTION: The engine 50 includes: a cylinder head 56F; a cylinder head cover 57F attached to the cylinder head 56F; a camshaft holder 75 freely and rotatably fixing camshafts 71 and 72 to the cylinder head 56F; and a bolt 80 fastening the camshaft holder 75 to the cylinder head 56F and having a head 81 and a thread 82.
