1. A prosthetic assembly comprising:
a body portion; first and second flanges provided on the body portion; the first and second flanges being spaced apart to form a gap there between and provided with first and second openings respectively; and a bridging member configured to span the gap and having third, fourth, and fifth openings and being connectable to the first and second flanges upon aligning the fourth and fifth openings with the first and second openings respectively with the third opening positioned at the gap; and first, second, and third bone attachment members, wherein the third opening positioned at the gap is configured to receive the third bone attachment member, the first opening and the fourth opening are configured to receive the first bone attachment member, and the second opening and the fifth opening are configured to receive the second bone attachment member, such that, in use, the bridging member spans between the first and second flange and is connected to the first and second flanges by the first and second bone attachment members; and the prosthetic assembly is connected to bone by the first, second, and third bone attachment members. |
