<p>The present invention relates to a steam generator for cooking food, which directly sprays overheated steam onto the food, and comprises a case which has a steam generation apparatus installed therein, and has a plurality of needles, which are combined to the steam generation apparatus and from which overheated steam is discharged, protruding on an upper end of the case, wherein one side of the case has a cooking table which moves upward/downward and has a food container put thereon, which stores water therein, and the needle, while being in the water which is stored in the food container, directly sprays the overheated steam and boils the water to cook the food. According to the present invention, the overheated steam at high temperature is directly sprayed onto the food to cook the inside and outside of the food evenly and cooks an instant food rapidly, thereby saving energy and reducing the cooking time; a portable food can be conveniently and instantly cooked; and the overheated steam is directly sprayed onto the not boiling water inside the food container to boil the water instantly, cook the food, and directly boil the water inside the food container, thereby not limiting the material of the container to a specific material which has high heat resistance or incombustibility and being capable of conveniently cooking the food inside a container made of a paper or a synthetic resin material.</p> |
