1. An image forming apparatus for forming an image based on image data, comprising:
a photosensitive member; an exposure unit configured to perform, based on the image data, first exposure for said photosensitive member and second exposure for said photosensitive member exposed by the first exposure, one pixel included in an image being formed by the first exposure and the second exposure; a determination unit configured to determine whether an image to be formed is a first type or a second type based on the image data, a pixel included in an image of the first type being sharper than a pixel included in an image of the second type; and a control unit configured to control said exposure unit such that a difference in an exposure amount between the first exposure and the second exposure when forming the image of the first type is larger than a difference in an exposure amount between the first exposure and the second exposure when forming the image of the second type.
