<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing the scattering of a sewing needle which does not require detachment/attachment work or the like, and on which a sewing object is not caught when the device is not used.SOLUTION: A device 20 for preventing the scattering of a sewing needle includes: a transparent plate-shaped cover member 30 (a main cover part 31 and a sub-cover part 32) including an upper end surface and a lower end surface; a guide member 40 which is connected to the cover member 30 and guides the movement of the cover member 30 so that the cover member 30 is selectively movable between a storage position of being stored in a head part 5 of a sewing machine 1 with a needle bar 6 arranged therein and a shielding position provided below the storage position with respect to a vertical direction; and a light-emitting unit 50 including a plurality of LEDs 51 placed on the upper end surface of the cover member 30 so that light travels from the upper end surface to the lower end surface of the cover member 30.</p> |
