The present invention relates to a butt joint welding method. According to the present invention, a butt joint welding method comprises: a processing step of cutting each side surface of a first base material and a second base material to be inclined to form a first connection unit on the first base material and a second connection unit on the second base material; a first arrangement step of arranging the first connection unit and the second connection unit to be opposite to each other for a welding unit having a groove wherein a cross section is formed of a V-shape; a first welding step of forming a first fusion unit inside the groove of the welding unit; a second welding step of forming a second fusion unit by welding in the welding unit wherein the first fusion unit is formed; a second arrangement step of overturning the first base material and the second base material; and a third welding step of forming a third fusion unit in the welding unit.
