<p>The present invention provides a method for producing narrow molecular weight distribution polyalkylene glycol derivative having an amino group at a terminal whereby ethylene oxide is polymerized in a mild condition and diol polymer impurities can be inhibited from being generated. The method includes, at least, the steps of: polymerizing ethylene oxide by using a compound represented Formula (2); transforming a polymerization terminal into R3. (In Formula, R1 is a linear, branched, or cyclic monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1-10 carbon atoms; R2 is a linear or branched divalent hydrocarbon group having 1-5 carbon atoms; R3 is a linear, branched, or cyclic monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1-20 carbon atoms; M is sodium or potassium; m is an integer of 1-5; n is an integer of 1-450; and k is an integer of 1-5.).</p> |
