<p>The present invention concerns a passive safety assembly of a motor vehicle and more particularly concerns a passive safety assembly (1) of a motor vehicle (2) comprising a stirrup (3) intended to be linked to a body of the vehicle (2) and a cover (4) intended to be linked to an engine of the vehicle (2), the stirrup (3) and the cover (4) being secured to each other, the assembly (1) being characterised in that it comprises a cutting element (5) secured to the stirrup (3) and having a blade (6) disposed facing an area (7) of the cover (4) that is to be cut, the blade (6) and the cover (4) being separated by a distance (d) smaller than a maximum deformation limit of said stirrup (3) that would result in the mechanical breaking of same.</p> |
