An adjustment gain calculation section calculates an adjustment gain of each spatial frequency component on the basis of the determined adjustment amount of the input value. A gain superposition section superposes the adjustment gain of each spatial frequency component calculated by the adjustment gain calculation section on the saturation component of the inputted image. The disclosed technique can be applied, for example, to an image processing device or the like for processing a three-dimensional image.
