PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate having excellent adhesiveness between a polarizer and a resin layer, and an image display device including the polarizing plate.SOLUTION: A polarizing plate 10 includes a polarizer 12, an adhesion layer 14, and a resin layer 16 in this order. The two-layer laminate of the adhesion layer 14 and the resin layer 16 has Re(550) and Rth(550) within predetermined ranges; the adhesion layer 14 is obtained by curing a first curable layer comprising polyvinyl alcohol having a polymerizable group; and the resin layer 16 is obtained by curing a second curable layer comprising a polyfunctional monomer. The adhesion layer 14 and the resin layer 16 are formed after preparing a curable laminate having the first curable layer and the second curable layer in this order on the polarizer 12, and then curing the first curable layer and the second curable layer. |
