<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction motor capable of achieving high performance and high reliability while reducing vibrations and noises.SOLUTION: The induction motor has a rotor core and plural rotor conductors 30. The rotor core has a shaft hole and plural slots. Each of the plural slots is disposed being separated away from the shaft hole and a side plane around the shaft hole. The rotor conductor 30 is disposed within the slots. The rotor conductor includes a first member 31 which has a porous portion as a core material and a second member 32 which has an electric resistance higher than that of the first member 31. The second member 32 is impregnated in the porous portion of the first member 31 and is in contact with the inner periphery. The volume ratio of the second member 32 in a first portion 30A of the rotor conductor 30 is higher than the volume ratio of the second member 32 in the second portion 30B of the rotor conductor 30, which is positioned closer to the shaft hole than the rotor core 10 than the first portion 30A.</p> |
