Embodiments of the present invention provide an interaction method for synchronization between cells, an apparatus and a communication system, wherein the method comprises: sending link quality information between a first base station in a synchronization state and a device that provides a synchronization reference for the first base station to a second base station, enabling the second base station to select the device that provides the synchronization reference based on the link quality information. According to the embodiments of the present invention, a better device used for providing a synchronization reference can be selected based on the link quality information, thus improving performance of an entire synchronization link.
