The present invention relates to a parking management system to automatically control vehicle license plate number misrecognition, capable of increasing recognition accuracy by recognizing a vehicle license plate number twice with a first camera unit to photograph a front license plate of an entering vehicle and a second camera unit to photograph a rear license plate of the entering vehicle, and automatically controlling misrecognition and non-recognition of the vehicle license plate number by a vehicle license plate number extraction process to accurately recognize the vehicle license plate number when a portion of the license plate is not visible due to foreign substances or reflection and as a result the vehicle license plate number is misrecognized and unrecognized. The parking management system to automatically control vehicle license plate number misrecognition comprises: a blocking device to open/close vertically to allow a vehicle to enter and exit; a vehicle detector to detect entry and exit of the vehicle; an image photographing unit to photograph the vehicle entering or exiting; a fee calculation unit to calculate a parking fee; and an integrated server to control and operate the blocking device, the vehicle detector, the image photographing unit, and the fee calculation unit. The image photographing unit comprises: a first camera unit to photograph a front license plate of an entering vehicle; a second camera unit to photograph a rear license plate of the entering vehicle; a display unit to display images photographed by the image photographing unit and vehicle license plate numbers extracted from the images; a comparison unit to compare the extracted vehicle license plate number of the front license plate with the extracted vehicle license plate number of the rear license plate; a compensation extraction unit to overlap the images of the vehicle license plate numbers of the front license plate and the rear license plate to extract a compensated vehicle license plate number if the vehicle license plate numbers of the front license plate and the rear license plate are determined to be different by the comparison unit. |
