PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source optical system capable of reducing thermal damage to an optical element constituting a condensing optical system without sacrificing the condensing efficiency of the condensing optical system, and a light source device and a projector device equipped with the same.SOLUTION: A condensing optical system 30 is a light source optical system for condensing light emitted from a light source 20 and forming substantially parallel beams. The condensing optical system 30 has, in order from the light source 20 side, a first lens group 31 having positive refractive power and a second lens group 32 having negative refractive power. The first lens group 31 includes a first lens 11 and a second lens 12 which are a convex lens, the first lens 11 and the second lens 12 being disposed with their convex surfaces facing opposite the light source 20. The second lens group 32 includes a third lens 13 which is a concave lens, the third lens 13 being disposed with its concave surface facing the light source 20. |
