<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for vehicle which makes a pointer image rotationally displayed with high visibility even when a liquid crystal display instrument is at a low temperature.SOLUTION: A display device 1 for vehicle is constituted of a liquid crystal display instrument 11, control means 12, and temperature detection means 13. The control means 12 makes the liquid crystal display instrument 11 rotationally display a pointer image 111 on a background image 110 including the pointer image according to various kinds of vehicle information. The control means 12 displays the pointer image 111 together with decorative images 112, 113, and 114 if the temperature inputted from the temperature detection means 13 for detecting the temperature of the liquid crystal display instrument 11 is equal to or more than a threshold value T, and switches the background image 110 or the pointer image 11 to the other image or does not display one of the decorative images 112, 113 and 114 so that a ratio of including an intermediate color in the colors constituting the background image 110, the pointer imager 111, and the decorative images 112, 113, and 114 becomes lower if the temperature is less than the threshold value T.</p> |
