Provided is bag manufacturing and packaging equipment that separates each bag by way of a pair of sealing members, with a blade mounted on the sealing members, cutting a lateral sealed portion by using the pressing pressure to sandwich a film during lateral sealing and that is capable of discharging bags continuously. A bag manufacturing and packaging equipment that manufactures a bag from film and packages an article inside the bag comprises a pair of sealing jaws (51), a knife, a pressing mechanism (56), and a pressing mechanism control unit. The sealing jaws laterally seal the film. The knife is mounted to one of the sealing jaws (51b) and melts and cuts the film lateral sealed portion. The pressing mechanism applies a pressing force to one of the sealing jaws (51a) in opposition to the other sealing jaw (51b) so that the pair of sealing jaws laterally seals the film by sandwiching the same therebetween, brings the knife into contact with the laterally sealed portion, and melts and cuts the laterally sealed portion. The pressing mechanism control unit stops applying the pressing force to the pressing mechanism on the basis of error information concerning the film or the article. |
