Disclosed are a method and system for processing information within a social network. The method comprises: in a network system, in particular a social network system, while enabling a user to continue to release a piece of information having a simple structure and acting as a basic unit for expressing meaning, a piece of information having a new information structure is added, also acting as a basic unit for expressing meaning for the user. The new piece of information, by illustrating the relative positions of a plurality of basic units expressing meaning when said basic units are displayed, and referencing the plurality of basic units, uses a combination of the referenced basic units to express meaning. Information expression efficiency within the system is thereby improved, and information screening capability is increased. Structured arrangement of information is naturally achieved, and the information processing capacity of the system is significantly increased. |
