The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for managing a home energy information profile based on a smart plug. a plug in/out state detection unit configured to detect whether the energy load device is plugged in or plugged out; and a home energy information profile transmitting unit configured to transmit a home energy information profile of the energy load device to a home energy management server when detection information according to whether the energy load device is plugged in or plugged out is received.
