In this MRI index estimation method, an MRI index (ADC, FA, etc.) is estimated on the basis of the scattering coefficient μs' at a measurement site B, or on the basis of a parameter correlated with the scattering coefficient μs'. The scattering coefficient μs' is calculated with a near-infrared spectroscopic measurement method based on the result of detecting near-infrared light which enters a measurement site B and propagates through the inside of the measurement site B. With this method, an MRI index of a measurement site can be more easily ascertained than with MRI. |
