PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an EL element capable of improving external extraction efficiency of light and preventing occurrence of color shifts without lowering light utilization efficiency; and a lighting system, a display device and a liquid crystal display device using the same.SOLUTION: A color correction structure layer 5 comprises: a first color correction structure 40; and a second color correction structure 50. In a cross-sectional shape of a projecting part constituting the first color correction structure 40, TM/TP is less than 0.5, where TM represents a height from a surface on an opposite side of a junction layer 6 and PM represents a width of a base at the surface on the opposite side of the junction layer 6, in the first color correction structure 40. In a cross-sectional shape of a projecting part constituting the second color correction structure 50, TL/PL is 0.5 or more and 1 or less, where TL represents a height from a surface on an opposite side of the junction layer 6 and PL represents a width of the base at the surface on the opposite side of the junction layer 6, in the second color correction structure 50, and further an inclination angle θ relative to the surface on the opposite side of the junction layer at the skirt of the projecting part is 45 degrees or more and 80 degrees or less. |
