<p>A storage device 1 for objects in a motor vehicle comprises a side wall 6 which laterally defines a storage space 3 and an elastic band divider 4 mounted in a pivoted manner in the region of its ends to the side wall 6, the flexible panel being bi-stable and being able to assume first (shown) and second stable positions (see figure 1) which are oppositely curved, the divider panel defining a larger or smaller space / area depending on the assumed stable position. A band moulding/ section 5 on the band/ panel 4 protrudes from the curved plane of the band divider. This section may be an integral bi-stable portion within the band and can snap to a curvature position opposite of the band to define a compartment. Alternatively, a separate side pocket may be attached with hook and loop fasteners (figure 8). Preferably, the partitioning panel is used to segment a mid-console storage compartment in a car.</p> |
