<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity reader capable of recognizing an image at a timing intended by an operator and a program. <P>SOLUTION: The commodity reader includes: imaging means for imaging temporally successive multiple images; image recognition means for recognizing an image of a commodity included in the images and deriving candidate commodities of the commodity; display means; display control means for causing the display means to display candidate commodities; operation reception means for receiving a selection operation of one of candidate commodities displayed in the display means; action detection means for detecting an action of a user from the multiple images; action determination means for determining whether the action detected by the detection means corresponds to a prescribed action pattern; and control means for controlling operations of the image recognition means and the display control means on the basis of a result of the determination by the action determination means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
